WHO WE ARE

About The Egyptian Orphan Fund

The Egyptian Orphan Fund is a non-profit organization established in Melbourne, Australia in 2012  to support orphan families, the sick and underprivileged families in Egypt through Egyptian families living in Australia and Egypt.

The organization is registered in Australia under the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012

With the massive increase in the percentages of people living in extreme poverty, and the limited number of charities compared to people in need, our initiative was established with the objective of  ‘Sponsoring an Orphan for just $65 a month’.

The initiative founded by, Sherine Mohamed Elfakahani, who resides in Australia since 1970 and who found a great opportunity with the Egyptian community in Australia keen to help the Egyptian children and families in their home country.

With the support of two dedicated volunteers, the organization started to flourish, and in the last eight years The Egyptian Orphan Fund has supported young children, widows and extended families in simple but meaningful ways, through monthly supplements to support the purchase of food, household expenses, healthcare and education.

Today with the Grace of Allah The Egyptian Orphan Fund is financially supporting 50 families, but with your help and support we can do more.
