WHAT WE DO
What the Egyptian Orphan Fund Does
Our work starts by conducting field researches about families and areas that suffer from real poverty to improve their standards of living and move them from the stage of need to the stage of effective production and sufficiency.
Based on our believe that children are the base of any society, we focus on orphans to build a prosperous future for Egypt where they can thrive and become the leaders of their own communities.
This is not only a social responsibility towards our community that helps to put poverty to an end and to empower the poor to improve their lives, but it’s also what God and his prophet (SAW) has instructed us to do.
Islam is a religion which enjoins upon kind treatment to the orphan. Indeed, our Prophet (saws) was born an orphan, with his father passing away while he was still in the womb of his mother. His mother, Aminah, passed away when he was six year old, leaving him to the care of a loving family.
But the Prophet (saws) never forgot the vulnerability of the orphan, and he would encourage others to care for them. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The one who cares for an orphan and myself will be together in Paradise like this,” and he held his two fingers together to illustrate.
Our support is provided in various forms, and for different causes including:
- Sponsoring orphans, sick, elderly
- Islamic feasts and occasions’ donations
- Educational donations
- Winter donations
Based on our research finding, your donations will be distributed directly to orphans and orphan families.
We are keen to share with you the progress and improvement that took place in these people’s lives including their names and circumstances.
Never underestimate your contribution. It can change someone’s life.
